OLOL Children's Hospital Mansion Committee:                                                        

The CMM committee is responsible for choosing the builder and approving the design of each year's home. 
They work with the builder in soliciting donations of cash, materials and labor.  They promote ticket sales and
marketing for the home giveaway. 
They are also responsible for choosing the charities that receive donations
from the Foundation.

Codes Committee:
 

Our Code Committee is responsible for keeping our members abreast on matters concerning local building codes,
ordinances, rules and/or regulations affecting the construction of housing in the community.  The committee will
work with local officials as needed.

Economic Affairs:

This committee works with local and regional planning commissions and boards and reports current and upcoming activity to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Education Committee: 

Identifies the educational needs of the association's membership and coordinates education activities to ensure member needs are met and remains abreast of industry issues and trends in order to provide relevant training.

Finance Committee:

Works with the appropriate staffer to develop the annual budget of the association.  Regularly advises the Board of Directors regarding the financial condition of the association and recommends an appropriate reserve and investment policy.  It insures that the association has filed the appropriate tax documents and works with an independent CPA on an annual audit.

Governmental Affairs Committee:

Monitors and tracks government activities and issues that may have an impact on our industry.  Develops personal relationships with public officials in order to work in cooperation with them to resolve regulatory issues.

Habitat Home & Garden and Fall Home & Leisure Show Committees :

Works in conjunction with staff to produce the annual home & garden show to promote the products and services related to the home building industry.  The Habitat Show is the major non-dues revenue source for CRBA.  Develops special events and attractions and updates rules and regulations governing the event.  Coordinates volunteers to work during move-in and show hours.

Green Building Committee: 

This committee focuses on Green Building Standards and how to help our members promote Going Green!

Membership Committee: 

Working in conjunction with staff, plans and conducts programs for membership development.  Provides for appropriate recognition of new members and their sponsors and coordinates quarterly new member orientations.  Reviews names of members who are delinquent in paying dues and makes contact to encourage renewal and active participation.

PAC Committee:

Reviews and meets with candidates for local office and establishes which candidate will be the most supportive of the building industry. Arranges forums for candidates so that members will have the opportunity to meet them and choose who they want to support. Approves political fundraising requests.

Parade of Homes Committee: 

Establishes dates for the annual Parade and develops a set of rules and regulations governing the event.  Solicits builders, advertisers and sponsors for the Parade of Homes.  Coordinates volunteer efforts for material distribution and approves promotional materials.

Public Relations Committee:

This committee develops public relations programs to enhance the image of the association and industry.  Members also work with Governmental Affairs Committee to ensure that industry positions are available to the media and public.

NAHB Remodelers® Council: 
           ($80.00 yearly membership dues-- well worth your investment)

Provides education on remodeling issues, opportunities and topics to remodeler and association members.  Provides networking opportunities for members involved in remodeling and encourages membership in the association and council.  Offers a tremendous opportunity to market you and your product and/or services.

Ethics & Grievance Committee:

Sets ethical standards for the membership and handles grievance complaints against members according to rules set forth in the by-laws of Capital Region Builders Association.
