Members listed as "Remodelers" are LICENSED by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. "Supplier" members may hold a registration to do remodeling work between $7,500 - $75,000 or they are a supplier of products or services to make your project a success.

| The Remodelers Council was organized by the Capital Region Builders Association to assure homeowners in this area that contractors of established business stature, financial stability, and knowledge of the remodeling business are available to serve their needs. The Council's membership is limited to firms who have proven their dependability and trustworthiness to both customers and suppliers.

NATIONAL CADRE AWARD!
Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence
The NAHB CADRE awards are presented each year to local councils and individuals whose work at the local level exemplifies the best practices of the remodeling industry.
Our local Remodelers Council was awarded first place for the project, "Helping the Good Samaritan", a home makeover for a local man who was crippled when he stopped to help change a lady's tire on I-10.

Lead Paint Certified Renovator Training
Beginning April 22, 2010, contractors, maintenance workers, painters and others performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in housing and other child-occupied facilities built before 1978 must be certified. (Child-occupied facilities are those where children under age six are present on a regular basis.) The rule applies to all interior projects involving more than 6 square feet, exterior projects of more than 20 square feet and all window replacement, maintenance or repair. size is LIMITED TO 18 students and you must be pre-registered so that your paperwork can be submitted in advance. REGISTRATION & FEES WILL BE DUE 10 DAYS PRIOR to each and fees are non-refundable. Lunch is included.
We will offer classes as needed. Please call Erica Sullivan in the CRBA office at 225-769-7696 to be added to our waiting list. COST is $225 for members and $275 for non-members.
